Wait, we're talking about confidence - why the heck is there a picture of a kid in the pool here? She's got cool glasses on, she does looks confident, but before you try to figure it out, I'll explain - but here's the thing, lets be real and talk first.

Being vulnerable is a hard thing to do. It takes guts to be your raw and real SELF. We tend to put up our guard so quickly, maybe even unintentionally, in our own defense to protect ourselves.

Just so we are clear, these are not literal tips to show you how to get your rear into the drivers seat of your car and drive, literally, anywhere in life. If you need those kind of tips - we might all be in trouble, or at least those on the roads around you!

Let me clarify. I'm not talking about a PLANK as in you're on the floor, sweating it out, strengthening your CORE as you shake like a leaf trying to hold form. (or is that just me shaking)...anyway.....

Now before you go crazy with all the non sense and sarcastic things you might be saying to yourself right now, like "Oh Yea, let me just think of this wonderful life and poof it will happen," "money in the bank" or "my awesome reality is winning the lotto" or "you don't know me and understand my life or situation."

A great question to ask ourselves, as we rush around in our busy filled life. Americans seem to do everything in a rush - we eat too fast, talk too fast, rush around from event to event, cramming in all we can fit in within daylight hours before it's time to hit the sack and get up and do it all over again.

What's the immediate reaction your brain sends you when you hear or read the word OPPORTUNITY?

Do you think - I'm OPEN - Curious - Intrigued - Hmmmm what is it?

This means you are likely open minded to ideas. These ideas may or may not be for you, but you are at least open to taking a look and deciding for yourself.

Hey cut yourself some slack - it happens to the best of em.  

Sometimes you know what set you off track and sometimes you have no idea.

One thing I know is brighter days are always ahead.

Today I saw a message of a family member talking about shopping at a place to try to find some clothes from the 80's - or maybe it was that she didn't want her clothes to look like the 80's - I can't remember which, but it made me smile just the same.

What!? Have I lost my mind? No - well at least I don't think so - but call me crazy if you will, I found some insight from the little bird that lit on the fence this morning.

As I walked on the treadmill, worship music blasting in my ears, I peered out the window and 3 lovely birds lit on the fence before me.  Father, Son and Holy Spirit I quickly and randomly named them - it's what came to mind. "Son" choose to stay a while - the whole 40+ minutes I walked actually.

I know some people who think if you don't respond immediately to something you are either a) not interested b) don't care or c) all of the above. I don't agree - silence isn't always a bad thing.

First time in Anchorage, Alaska last week.  On the way to the airport from the cruise port, there is apparently only ONE ROAD to get you there, it's a one way street with a tunnel over 2+ miles long.  As I found myself on this long and dark journey, 

It's so easy to keep in the same circle of friends - do the same things day in and day out and not realize there is a world around you, outside that bubble that is hurting, confused and down right lost.

Where to start,  I'm in my mid 40's actually closer to 50 (thanks for that reminder)  but graduation was just the other day in my mind. 

Laugh all you want - it seems like it WAS just the other day and I do have some awesome 80's photos of my huge - well huge is an undesrstatement, but my awesomely big hair from  graduation day - it was hip then but Im sure you would be bawling your eyes out so I will spare you that photo attached up top, although it could be fun!
