Make a Noise

Making a noise - this isn't about singing, choirs, being musically inclined at any level and not even about passing gas (my Dad would laugh at that one and likely "make a noise" because he thought that's what this was going to be about) totally inappropriate here I know - so let me continue on with the real story.
As I sat in church a few weeks ago listening to the majestic voices in the worship team belt out a beautiful angelic melody, I distinctly heard the drums pounding their rhythm while the guitars were strumming and the keys chimed in as well - it was as if I could hear each instrument individually playing it's own concert, yet together it was a beautiful masterpiece that moved me. I just listened and opened my mind to wander and imagine.
Do you ever have those moments when an idea comes to mind or a profound thought that makes you think or wonder - like the one Im sharing with you now that happened to me on a normal day in a place I have been in many times before.
Life is made of those moments when something changes - a view, a thought or idea... or in my case beautiful music morphed into a moment that will be forever changed.
I envisioned all of the Gods' children ( you and I) along with the angels singing praise in a majestic and heavenly melody like the one I was hearing that morning- and I pondered how amazing it would truly be. I can still hear the sounds echoing in my ear and the happy feeling it gave me, and that alone makes me smile.
It was.... majestic is the word Im looking for. It made me feel thankful, grateful and so glad there is grace, hope, joy and meaning in our lives, both in the here and now and it can be in the forever more.
I could continue on about the meaning of your life and gratitude - but that's not what this space is meant for. I want you to instead think of those moments when something happened or will happen that changes your thought pattern. It could be a bad memory or experience that you never want to experience again, but it likely could be a really good one, and I hope it is the later.
I want you to become more aware of those moments and more importantly what you do after.
Do you act on your thought or idea? Ponder it in your heart? Share it with someone you trust? In my case it was just a lovely moment - it didn't call for action, but it did bring a humbleness and gratefulness to my heart that I can recall in a moment. It gave me peace and hope that there is something bigger than us in this world and who knows - maybe someone out there needed to hear this story and have a moment of their own?
Sometimes a moment will lead you into a feeling of peace or inspiration. Sometimes you are the giver and sometimes you will be the receiver of the moment. It may be a thought or idea of a new invention, a new business opportunity or insight on something that could be life changing. It may be a person who comes to mind or something you need to do or maybe even forgive. Could be a book you read that made you look at something or someone in a different light.
I believe divine ideas come to us and we sometimes just brush them off as a random thought. Don't do that. Be aware. I believe that you have a noise inside you to share with the world - it doesn't have to come in a perfect melody. Maybe through a word of kindness?
One of my favorite verses to show you how amazing you are.
Psalm 139:13-18
13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you.
I believe your life is meant to be great. You are here on purpose. To you I say - make a noise. Stand tall. Get your hopes up. Believe in miracles. Live your life. Be Friendly. Do random acts of kindness to yourself and to others and be open to receive the goodness meant for your life. Shine that little light of yours for all to see and make a noise that will be heard.
